Metal Etching Class

This class will be taught by Alicia & Brad, during this class, we will draw out a design for a bracelet cuff, and then Etch the drawing into the cuff.  Using simple & economical resist methods, we are able to transfer the design from our imaginations, onto archival & wearable brass. We love teaching this method because it is a unique, style-defining technique that offers exploration for beginning & advanced metalsmiths. It opens doors from beautifully crafted holiday gifts to gallery-quality fine art.

This workshop is one day, approximately three hours & includes snacks & beverages. A variety of resist methods will be demonstrated & each student will create a finished brass creation that celebrates your creativity. We will be doing Chemical Metal etching. For this class, all materials will be provided. Upon receipt of payment of your class, we will email you a printable cuff template that you will be able to print out and draw or digitally design your cuff designs on and then bring to class.
